Not to diverge, but from 91 to 94 my dad and I would run our 31 Rampage up to Harwichport from the 1st of March till Memorial Day to take advantage of the cod fishing.We'd run up there because the traditional grounds of Block and MTK sucked. At the time they were shutting down the fishery because of supposed low tow numbers. We'd fish the Regal Sword if we could and stop and drop on the way back. It would be nothing to fill 6 or 7 totes in no time with market fish on the inshore numbers. Many times I'd see draggers northeast of the Lemons not far from us and I'd keep asking myself if it's this good now what was it like before? As many of you are aware the cod fishing around Block and MTK for the past few years has been at times outstanding. My question is, are they intentionaly taking sample tows where they know there are no fish? Who is it that tells them where to tow?
