Nicely done. Big fish out there! Went 0-1 today on a monster fish working a ronz in the mix of the unbelievable whale show. All i can say is what a intense ride fighting a 73"+ fish on spinning gear! Ill be feeling it for the next few days.

    Nice work Dom.

Got to hand it to your gear choice and tactics. You're getting big fish to the boat and more importantly in the boat.

    Good luck.

    SLOW day today

Covered lots of ground, found nothing but a few smallish(50-60") ghosts up and down like lightning in a few random spots. Skunked it up, didnt hear of much from anyone though....

Back at it tommorrow(starting to feel squishy in the head from too many days in a row)

Capt. Dom there is nothing classier than a charter captain such as yourself who consistently hammers tuna to acknowledge a rough day every now and then. Thanks for the great reports we all love to hear how you are taking them down.

Agree with Dom on Tuesday Summary

SWC to PHB 12 hours of live baits, Ron-Z, and X-raps all to no avail. The only boys we saw connect were the stick boats. Got to see one of them drop a BIG fish boatside-I guess even those guys need a solid end game. Wish I could be out there today. Dom-keep us posted

    Lots more fish showing up...

But again the stick boats, and the illustrious Castafari crew seemed to be the only guys getting tight to fish today other than a few live baiters as well. Fish just would not respond to the jigs or the topwaters, although I had some of the best marks of schooled fish under my boat than I have seen in a long time, all appeared to be of market size or just slightly smaller, along with a crazy show my guys got to see...we had 10-15 real giants in the 600-800 pound range smash a pod of Bluefish right in between Capt. Josh from Outermost Angling and my boat just south of the fleet a few miles. Heart hammering action, all we could do was sit and watch, about an 8 minute show and then it was like it never happened.

Slow fishing for me the past 2 trips, but nice to see the harpoon guys getting some good days, and putting some numbers on the board, along with the live bait guys. I gotta admit I just like seeing them caught, doesnt matter how or by whom....nicer when its me though.

Back at it tommorrow, the grind has begun, and the new moon should get things into swing here I'm betting.

    Go get em guys!

I also got a chance last year to encounter a group of monster 600-800+lbers. They were pushing water on top in a complete incoherent daze. We were able to bring the boat right next to them. They had no care in the world that we were there. It was a cool expierence seeing those fish that close. Figured id share a similar encounter . Hey Dom i would like to pick your brain with a question if you dont mind. How do you perfer to attach your leader on both ends with your spinning gear? Im fairly new at this end of the game. Any info would greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks, Jordan.

Another big one on spin gear!

Promise to update with pics when I actually get in front of a real computer...had another big fish with my same European friends from Sunday...welcome to the Cape boys!! 78" and finally getting some weight to them, this one went 280 gutted. The grind has begun, but the fish keep hitting the deck so life is good.

I use wind-on leaders and crimp to a Spro power swivel, then to a 185#spro split ring which is connected to the lure or jig. Use chafe gear, mono or flouro 100-150#. Go see Carl at Sportsman's Landing in Dennis he'll hook you up.
