In Close Sharking?
Anyone ever try shark fishing in close among the schools of Bluefish, etc.. that usually congregate within a few miles of shore?
I have heard some stories of Sharks and Tuna being sighted in close, especially this time of year. Anyone had any sightings or experiences? VC |

Saw a couple of blue sharks just off Newport last weekend. Right up on top sunning. Thought they were a little far away from the typical spots.

I have heard of some Thresher sharks under bunker pods in Jersey. Although I can't seem to get one to bite some have. The bluefish and stripers are usually there but I haven't seen a shark yet.

Scroll down on this link and see the Thresher breaching off the Maine shoreline. All the while I keep looking to go further out. ![]() VC |
