Ben, where are you running out of? I'm still up in the air as to what I'm going to do on Saturday.

WAS A WASTE LAND TODAY, NO BIRDS, NO MAMMALS, NO TUNA, AND MOST OF ALL NO BAIT
BUT DID SEE A FLYING FISH NORTH OF THE STAR, THOUGHT HE SEEMED OUT OF PLACE
    LOTS OF 71-72 WATER

Similar scene Wednesday. Worked from the shoals to Gordons then south to the Star. Saw one school of halfbeaks pushed out and a pair of flying fish clear water and that was it. Very little life. Temp breaks were huge though, jumping from 66 to 72 over 1.5 nm.

    Saw one white

We are staying in chilmark and left Menemsha just to scope out water temps. Went to the bouys just south of nomans and then trolled the 90 ft line east. Had a nice size white marlin swim parallel to our boat and the tail fin popped up and down....and then headed for our spreader bars. Unfortunately no love....and seaweed on rigs. Saw some half beaks or something too. Nothing on sonar. Weeds in water. Wish I had a spinning reel ready.

Fresh out of the shower washed the smell of beer, cigars and fish off, about ready to kick back for the night.

Had a late start. We were about 5mi N of the claw in chilly water (65-66) felt a little apprehensive about continuing on trying to find a break. Luckily Solemate was out there to tell be he was already south of the claw in much warmer water. So we kept on trucking, paid off with a nice break 66 to 69 over 2 miles or. Power chummed and before I could get all the rods out we had sharks in the slick. The usual bluedog marathon ensued and my guys were pumped with the day. Had high hopes that a mako would show up and pop my cherry, but he didnt. All in all a great day. Stopped to fill the cooler with some groundfish and enjoyed a flat ride back to Dartmouth.

It was nice talking to you Solemate, thanks for the intel. Cant wait to hear your report, sounded like you were having a better day than me.

Bigeye, tried hailing you 3 separate times... did you get out?
