Got lucky off Chatham on Sunday. Clark and I fished with friends Paul, Mike and Alec on their new boat and hoped to get them into a tuna. Long story short, we trolled bars like most of the other boats out there. Didn't hook up on the early bite when a few of other boats did. Worked away from the fleet by a few miles to try to find some breathing room and found some decent looking life. Things were getting a little quiet in the pit but we circled the area and eventually got bit. Fish was mean. Fought with twice the attitude of the 81 inch fish we got last year. Paul was on the reel first, then Clark. After an hour of back breaking straight up and down work, fish finally came up and we decided to take it. Paul and his boys are 1 for 1 in the new boat. Next up canyons. Fish was 81 inches cfl. Fought bigger.
