Chatham Bait & Tackle Fishing Report, Chatham, MA, 9-26-10
9/25/10 Tuna tuna everywhere. At least they were yesterday about 3 to 4 mile East off the
new inlet. A number of customers did well, landing fish from 45 to 54 inches. Trolling pink squid
bars did the trick for a few boats. These were just about all legal fish. Now is the time to go if tuna
is on your mind. These fish are the perfect size if you want to try spin fishing for them. Best place
to go from would be out of Ryder's Cove in North Chatham and head straight out the new inlet.
You could be on fish ****in ten minutes.
The bass fishing is still very good in that same general area. Some customers are still finding
fish between the C can and the old South way in about 40 feet of water. Jigs and plastics work
well. Pink and white are two good colors. Butterfly and diamond jigs are a good way to get to the
bottom in a hurry. You will definitely find big bluefish out here also so be prepared **** wire
leaders.
Monomoy point has been good at the rips. On the outgoing tide you can actually see the
fish in the rips, very cool.
Overall the fishing should be excellent here for at least another month so get out there and try
your luck!! Tight Lines!!!!!
