Charter Boat Insuranc Agents

Thinking about changing my insurance company for my charter boat due to what they pulled on my agent. Great guy who provided awesome service and was let go for no reason after a decade with company. If they do this to him what would they handle a claim.

I am curious who charter boats are using here in the Northeast and if they have any positive or negative comments.

Ditto on Almieda and Carlson used them for charter boat for 5 years and another 7 for rec. water craft ,they are boaters and understand commercial needs.

I just insured my boat, for charter,for thirty percent less (!) than I was paying. I just clicked on the J. Byrne insurance ad right here. I dealt with Colleen....very easy and pleasant. Oh,and for half again more hull value than my last policy. Excellent.

Agree with Almeida Carlson. Tracey is great also, definitely ask for her.

I use Blackadar for agent, Acadia is the ins co.
To be honest, many times have not been very happy with the service from the agent, in particular with the girl who handles the commercial policies (Heather)
Never needed to file a claim so can't give feedback on Acadia.
I'll be following this tread also to see what others have experienced.
I'm pretty sure I could do better on rates also from talking to others.

I had Blackadar for a few years, never filed a claim and the premium jumped 35% in 01 year. I guess they wanted my boat insurance to pay for hurricane claims in the Gulf from the parent company.
