Caught a 205lber on the South East Corner today

A 205 LB Male who spends too much money on fishing sh*t

So SEC in the afternoon, get some casts into some breaking fish. I'm throwing a Tattoo Sea Dog on the good old stella. I'm working it when I get a hit so hard it sends the seadog up about 8 feet. I get the lure back to the boat and in the excitment my lure grabs my buddys line who is butterfly jigging when I quikly try to get the next cast out, Birds nest, worse knots ever. I'm on the bow holding the seadog in my hand with half a mile of my buddy's jigging line entangled on it. Thats when my buddy's jig gets slammed down deep pulling the sea dog and the new Owner ST66 trebles I just bought directly into my hand. Just thought I would post this for a learning experience for others. Luckily the line was cut on my anchor rather quickly when the fish ran to the side of the boat, because it had me pinned while it took off. Incredibly sucky ride back to scituate and then a 3 hour stay in the ER with doctors/nurses who didn't have tools big enough to cut the hook and then were nervous because the tip entered the bone. All in all a great day..Oh, and one of the older nurses at the hospital said to me, now you know how the fish feels, haha

    Not really

Greg, Corey was fine, he tried. When the Doctor saw the braid tied around the Hook end he looked at me quite puzzled and said "what’s the string for". I explained the events of the day and he just shook his head and said "Bad Idea Fred, bad idea” The hook was wrapped around a tendon and had to be pushed out the outer side. What was disturbing was that when I pulled up to your Boat and said “Hay Greg, we were getting Bluefish for bait and one flipped out and got me. I have a size 12 treble hook buried in my wrist up to the weld. Do you know how to get it out"? Greg replies, “Wow that sucks, so where were you getting the Bluefish.
    Nice, real nice.

Now that is CLASSIC!............ Hope the hand heals up alright tendons are nothing to be playing around with probably good you didn't try to do on the water surgery to remove could have really injured something badly.

haha, thanx for the offer Greg but the fact that I could not move my pinky finger was freakin me out. I got some pretty good xray pictures out of the whole ordeal and even met a fellow fisherman from chatham who was a nurse there and gave me some real good tips on shark fishing.

Decided I should give a review for the Owner ST66 Trebles considering I have first HAND experience.

Exact same scenario unfolded with me and my dad two years ago east of Gloucester, minus the rig actually getting hit by a fish. When I realized what was happening, my life flashed before my eyes and I cut my line. It was worth losing a sluggo and a jig head rather than my hand.
