Nice report Damon! We were back on the troll at false dawn on Sunday morning, 8/16, and we trolled up to the stern of that squid boat. I think they were culling their catch just before sunrise because the waters in back of their stern erupted with 40-50 albacores going airborne as we trolled by them. We had four rods go down on the second pass with four fat long fins hitting the deck a few minutes later. With just two guys, that is a great wake up call. I'll always troll by those boats now in the future! The shearwaters were thick as flys.
