    Cape fishing

I found a thread on here about fishing Race Point. It was a great read so I gave it a try this past sat. I am new to surfcasting and stiper fishing. I went out with my wife and 6yo son taging along. Had a great time even though there was no fish on and the walk in was strenuous but my son casted for 2 hours non stop! He is a die hard fisherman! .
We finally decided to leave at about 1 and a really nice guy walked by with his family and offered us a ride back! That was a lifesaver. Next year I will be getting the beach pass for the truck!
Anyway I stopped in at Nelsons friday to get reports. The guy there couldnt have been nicer. He was even from my area LOL

It was still a nice trip and I will be better prepared next yr.
I hear the Stripers are hitting well at the cape but the days are hit or Miss.
It was such a beautiful place.
It was cool to see the drop off and how close the boats are.
