Well done Jeff....you really threaded the needle on that one. My boat actually has slime on the bottom from keeping the dock company. I'm losing hope at getting another shot at the edge.

still a month left for the canyon diehards! Oct has traditionally been the best month of the year for numbers, and size. The troll bite may not be the greatest, but the chunk makes up for it !! The school bluefin bite south of the Vineyard should be getting wild too! Too many put the boats away and switch to the bows and guns when still great fishing to be had. Granted getting to them tends to be challenging to say the least.
A great job ona small window!! Im holding out for a chance to make it back to the edge at least a couple more times this season!
We got lucky and found a guy that had New England caught butters. He then said they would not be able to get them anymore and they would indeed be coming from china. With that news bought the 30 flats. Don't know what to do about next year. These butters were not intended for bait but actually food believe it or not. I agree about the chunk vs troll and hope one more trip is going to happen. Got to go the butters on the BBQ are burning. I meant the mahi
I have been served butterfish in India also known as pomfret as a south Indian delicacy Yo be honest the butterfish part of the equation was far less challenging than the fire around it. Whoaaaaa hot!!!!
Call Globe Fish or John Nagle Seafood in Boston. They have food grade butterfish and macks. They do cash and carry.
