The hard edge break at 100 fathoms near E. Atlantis is gone. The break just west of the 'Tales looks good, but there would be about a gazillion ny & nj boats there. What to do?

You've been around long enough to do it the old fashioned way - go down, look around and find your own fish

My bet is 25 boats in Veatch, 15 tied and 10 drifting. Any takers?

The Niantic tourney is on. We're headed tommorow AM. With some luck, we'll be headed for the weigh in before the fleet arrives.

Good call. It's been a couple of years but it still amazes me why everyone goes right for a canyon. Now if there is a hard temp break ofcourse....but if not we caught more fish by ourselves in between the canyons. Plenty of small nubs and small canyons out there with not a boat in site.

KP; very wise. Some of my best nights have been all alone. I once saw a guy catch a nice yellowfin trolling...bunch of slicks & birds around. We caught nothing on the troll. He left, we stayed the night there, ran out of ice in a few hours catching BIG yellows & a nice sword. All alone. The latest shot has a great break in the Atlantis area, with a true warm/cold break near Veatch. *salivate*

Get Reel is locked and loaded. Hitting the break north of Atlantis and trolling to Veatch. Fishing sun-mon.

Monitoring VHF 68. Good luck to all.
