thanks for all the responses everyone. I was asking about terminal applications mostly but appreciate all the info i can gather.

Reel Broke. Ive used the spider hitch before with braid (down in Fla. for high speed wahoo) and it seemed to hold well but I just love the bimini. Youre right on about the one you tie the best. Thanks for the input.

Braid to Mono.....Red Phillips Knot...small, strong, easy to tie

Can you elaborate on the Red Phillips knot. I have not heard of it and would like more info. Did a google search and could not find it.

fin, the picture is shown two posts up from ya^^^^^^

I use it for all my mono to braid connections and have not had it fail yet "knock on wood"
