As a someone new to owning a boat the painting caught me off guard![]()
Since it was a new boat for the 1st go round I decided to have it done, that way I knew it was done right... That included prepping, sanding, base and paint. Since then its just clean, sand where nec. then tape it up and start slapping paint.
Not sure of the costs, but maybe you should bite the bullet and start over with the professional, then you can take over the painting duties next year... Once you get it up on blocks you can better evaluate the situation and decide from there.
Are the quotes you are getting include removing the existing paint? Maybe that's why they are so high?
Stevo75 try Wachuesett Seat Covering on Nicoels St on the Fichburg/Leominster line across the street from the MART garage for your enclosure and if your keeping the boat on the trailer don't paint it and you can keep the coin for fuel![]()
