Headed out early this am to do a little pogie hunting and bass catchin'.
We had a hell of a time finding pogies at Wollaston aka Wally World, but ended up get about 10 after a few HOURS.
We then headed over to Hull Gut, Long Island and Rainsford. There were no signs of life anywhere, except seeing a blitz at Rainsford right by hospital shoals. We ignored that thinking it was schoolies and the foot long pogies wouldn't do much good with schoolies. If I had to do it all over again, I would have spent more time with the blitz...ugh
After a long time of catching nada, we ended up trolling the pogies and hooked into a small keeper right off of George's Island. I am still batting 100% for pogies/stripers, but just barely. It was scary quiet out there and hope that the weekend produces better results.
