Blues in Ipswich Bay

[Old Glory]

Stared off of Halibut Point. Nothing but dogs. I catch one three would follow it back to the boat. Dogfish suck.

Trolled from Halibut point across the bay towards Crane's Beach. Hooked up with a nice blue on a Niner Rig. Once I found them switched to mackerel and lighter tackle. Pulled a bunch out while my girlfriend read fashion magazines. Fun to watch them jump.

We raced back in and just beat the thunderstorm. It was idiot day on the river though as everyone was fleeing for cover. Cocktail cove (Wingaersheek) was jammed and people were in full panic as the dark heavy clouds rolled in. I was sure there would be an accident since people were passing each other and doing way more than the posted 5 knots. A whaler raced past and had to be doing 15 knots. Some ass in a center console blew past me and another guy nearly swamping the other guys boat.

Except for the morons climbing all over each other on the ride home not a bad day on the water.
