Bluefin South of Block Island

Left from Montauk Sunday morning and caught 3 small Bluefins around 20-25lbs along the ridge a few miles southwest of Fairway Buoy in 140 ft of water with lots of birds. First fish at 4:50 am and a double at 7 and then it was over. Was quiet by the Fairway bouy Sat and Sun by reports from other boats in the fleet - all the action was Southwest. Fish hit CanyonRunner small purple squid spreader bars and purple cedar plug chain.

Tried to find the BFT today south of the fairway buoy. Area showed no life at all. Did not see any activity on the surface or on the recorder. Tried sharking south of the suffolk. That turned out to be slow as well.

no tuna today for me either, but had plenty of blue dogs and a mako in between the mudhole and coxes

What channel are you guys on?? I was calling the boats trolling today I had a really good size pod of medium/giants surface right off my highflyer and everyone was trolling 1/2 mile west of me...I have seen alot of fish in this area.

we got one the other week on a purple and black spreader bar early in the morning... I like running some darker colors at first light
