Crab mustard is good
Block Island and Watch Hill Guide Service
Guys,
Captain Bill Brown is running his center console this season for Striped Bass, Bluefish and probably Bonito later in the season and whatever have you throughout the season,,, you could probably convince him to take you to the tautog and scup haunts too.
With the cost of charter trips going over the top, Capt. Bill Brown decided to purchase a beautiful center console that he could run alone and guide people economically to some of the best inshore experiences available. Not a bad business model at all in these times. I've seen him go out at short notice. He took my bother and his guests out one time and out fished the fleet on the southwest ledge of Block Island. That trip will never be forgotten by them. That was a few years ago and they still talk about it like it was yesterday, every holiday season. They make me wish I was there.
I admit that I'm biased in posting this because Capt. Bill is a close friend of mine, but I'll preface this by telling you that I had the privilege of meeting him as a result of a mutual love for fishing.
Unlike a generic charter purchased off of a dock some place, he goes out of his way to insure that the trip is well planned, well equipped (to a fault) and he knows the territory better than anyone.
Rhode Island waters are some of the best in southern New England.
The water is still warm as we enter in to February. There's been a lot of bait on the Rhode Island shores, the season should start early as a result. Fishing top water to migrating fish will wear you out.
Fishing with someone that has as much experience as Bill is well worth the price of admission.
Capt. Bill is also getting into the captain for hire end of the business. He'll run your boat so you can relax and fish with your guests. I had Bill run my boat last year a couple of times, so I could just relax with guests and it was over the top for everyone.
He can be reached at http://www.billfishcharter.com/
He's the real deal. This is what he does. This is his passion and not some part time half assed business.
Even if you have your own inshore rig and hot spots, I guarantee fishing with Capt. Bill will only enhance your knowledge and there's no doubt that you'll have some good laughs.
