Big Stripers Skinny Water

Fished with my buddy yesterday late afternoon, saw hundreds of big stripers swimming in 2 feet of water, but they had lock jaw... We made some changes and went through alot of tackle trying to find something that would get their giddi up going...

Den had several explosions on his 5 inch yuzuri wave walker when he finally got slammed, after a fairly long battle and chasing the fish with the boat in under 2 feet of water, we had our first 40 lber of the year onboard Striper Recon... She taped out at 48 inches...



We didn't get any crazy numbers of fish, but we did get what we set out for, bigger fish....

If these fish were ever connecting with every attempt the made to get our plugs, it would have been a banner night, but many times they would pull away at last second...



Still a good evening of fishing though...





And its always nice to have a professional photographer onboard thats using a $150 camera












Things are just heating up, and I can finally fish once again after doing some remodeling for the wifey....Next week striper marathon and when that ends it will be Tuna time!!!
