BB BUOY RELOCATION
Still time to make comments on the move of the BB Buoy. I still do not remember seeing one of the Steamship Ferries out there tuna fishing though or using that route to go to the islands.

I certainly hope folks take a few minutes to write in against this move or else there will be a lack of updated weather reports offshore for both commercial and recreational anglers. It is hard to believe the Coast Guard had only received six to eight comments regarding moving the buoy. Here is the information for sending in comments:
The Coast Guard is considering making the following change to this waterway;
RELOCATE Boston Approach Lighted Buoy BB NOAA 44018 (LLNR 560) to approximate position 42-07-54.000N and 069-48-48.000W.
RENAME Boston Approach Lighted Buoy BB NOAA 44018 (LLNR 560) to NOAA Data Lighted Buoy 44018 (LLNR 560).
Interested Mariners are strongly encouraged to comment on this proposal in writing, either personally or through your organization. All
comments will be carefully considered and are requested by 6 Sep 2011. To facilitate the process, refer to Project No. 01-11-124. In addition to
the address listed on the front cover, e-mails can be sent to mark.e.ferreira@uscg.mil and faxes to 617-223-8291.

I'm in favor of this...in fact, the if the buoy was placed just a little further north you could see wave heights from the S all the way around to the W. Looks like they have the NW wave heights covered, which is good.

I practice safe fishing
I agree with the move, Well mabye not a move but an addition would be ideal! The true offshore should be aloud to keep this one particular buoy in place, but if you See this map you can see there is an obvious hole in Data buoys anywhere near the backside of the cape or SE Bank/ Wild Cat area...
