    Spreader Bars

    Eric,

From the shops and fishermen I have spoken to most seem to be pulling 36" Spreader Bars with 11" Squids. Top colors have been- Shrimp, Rainbow and Black. The 11" squids are nice because they are not as cumbersome as the 13" squids and the fish are feeding on small bait sand eels etc.

    Sportsman Landing

    [Eric ,

Says you live in Dennis , go in and see Carl he will set you up with what you need. IMHO he makes the best bars around, for a great price.

For me this year the two best colors are rainbow and green\brown. We have also done very well with a rainbow mini titainium bird bar in the long shotgun position. We have had over 35 tuna already this season with the best fishing yet to come. Good luck. Capt. Eric

Anyone fish those "Rock On" (I think that's what they're called) bars yet? I saw them in OTW a short time ago.

He was on the site for a little bit. I think he had under 10 posts. Never tried them, heard a story where a guy broke off a tuna, couple hours later he saw splashing on the surface. The Rock On bar had so much flotation it floated the fish right up!

We hooked up and caught a 55" fish 2 weeks ago on a Rock on Bar out east. They fish very well, you just have to get over the price.

Carl at Sportsmans Landing makes a fantastic bar. They fish right out of the bag unlike other bars. He knows what he is doing. You dont have to worry about crimps or craftmanship with his work. As for colors I think the above posts covered it.
