    Bank and Peaked Hill Yesterday

despite the heavy winds, set out yesterday at 4:45 a.m. for a morning troll. Winds from SW so ride out wasn't bad. trolled SE corner and north 6 miles but saw little. No whales, bait and very few birds. Heard a vessel talking about life at Peaked Hill so with little to show and not a ton of time left we made the 8 mile jaunt through the slop. Tide was strong at PH and despite the relative shelter, the wind whipped the waves into a white froth. The life looked good...whales, birds and busting tuna periodically. We trolled bars for 90 minutes without a hit but heard that the boat nearby did hook up and land a 55" fish. We eventually hooked up on a casted 7" ocean lure but fish came unglued almost immediately. It seemed strange with the busting fish not to have a single hit on our bars. at 11:00 we turned west for the beating back to Plymouth...not fun

I hope so. My club pulls docks on Oct. 9th (Bullsh!t), so I want to get out there a couple more times... but not if it is DEAD.

I would find another place to put your boat for the month of October. If it gets good, the month of october is going to be the best part.. We had a smoking good bite well into November last year.

FWIW and these guys didn't go outside/down back but the bay itself was still dead today from Race to Plymouth. Sounds like the fish are starting to show again and there is a ton of bait in the bay. Peanuts are just starting to come out too, maybe CMP's timing will be on the nose.
