    bait well

    looking to buy or make a baitwell for the back of my truck to transport pogies. Is 30 gallons big enough for a dozen or two. Saw some made by keepalive with aerators and blue interior for around $300. Anyone have one of these and are they anygood. Thanks for any info

    30 gallons will not be big enough. I have a 70 gallon tank for transporting pogies for personal use (around 2 dozen) but i also have a 300 gallon tank (i put about 200 gallons in it) for when I sell bait.

    Did you build it or purchase it. I figured 30 wouldnt be enough. Where can i find big enough tank. Thanks Hotreels

    I have that Keep Alive tank in FL and it's good to keep several dozen ballyhoo/goggle eyes or cigar minnows alive all day, but I agree with others who say it's too small for pogies...

    I made a real simple one for cheap money. I'll post a pic of it later. Works well enough for a dozen, but I usually loose 2 on average while fishing all day.

    Tractor supply has both the rubbermaid farm watering though and a 200,300,400 ect poly tanks made to fit in the back of a pick up.
