Hey fishypants, I tried to call the Castafari about the storm coming, dont know if you heard me, sounds like you rode it out? how was it? Not an option for me in my boat, glad to hear you had lots of action too and pulled in some whitey's.

I was on watch and around 0400 I notice the sky lighting up about 12 miles or so out. Woke up Cappy D so he could have a look. Monitored the cell on radar. A little bit before sunrise we switched back to troll mode and began fising. Trolled into the heart of the beast and needless to say it was some nasty stuff. Rain was coming down so hard hard it flattened out 3-4 ft seas. Lots of bolts and high wind. Once it passed the weather was beautiful.

Fished Hydro on a 56 foot Viking "Four Seas" out of Plymouth Ma. Left on Friday night with the gear in the water bright and early Sat morning and had the first fish in the boat 15 min later. Countless 20 lb yellowfin with 2 larger yellowfin around 60-70 lbs and some nice mahi mahi. Set up Sat night and grabbed a mako around 200 lbs on a bridled yellowfin head. The rest of the night was pretty quiet. Good trip and a good sign for the rest of the season!
