Question Anyone know anything about Northcoast boats (formally LEMA)?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NORTH...item1c0e0fea64

I just saw this 2006 23' Hardtop 225 Zuki 4-stroke for sale on eBay. I am not actually in the market to buy, but I am always looking. Actually, at the right price I might be in the market.......

I have seen a 21' version at the ramp at Ryders Cove, seemed like a pretty solid boat.

Any opinions about quality or ride?

    Thanks,

    Ed

I have been around them for a few seasons now. A buddy of mine sells them. He pushes them pretty hard and I have heard through the grapevine that they have issues. Not really exactly sure what type of issues but I know for a fact that quite a few new Northcoast boat owners weren't happy, I'd steer clear but thats just my .02.

Thanks for the input Sushi. I searched THT for comments, and someone suggested the same.

As I said, I am not really in the market, only kicking tires on the web, since I am not fishing anymore this season.

I like the concept of the Northcoast. Seems like a tough simple boat, like a Steigercraft.

Thanks. 1989 Northcoast Express just upgraded the electronics group. Lowrance HD-10 with the new Broadband radar. 2001 HPDI's. She cruises 30mph at 2mi/gal and tops out at 48mph.

I do like the look of the current Northcoast 23" CC. Saw it at the show in Htfd this year. She is a looker.

I was in the market in 2004, saw the Northcoast boats.....seemed like a solid/solid boat~ and a good hard selling bunch of people in RI. I ended up with a Sea Pro based on price points~ local dealer & Yamaha for the powerhouse (yah, how'd that work out for me...?? at least Yamaha is still around....and not a single issue with the boat)

Feel that NC was probably a 2nd place choice for me ~Rich

There's a red North Coast 24 outside of South Shore Dry Dock in Marshfield. Sweet boat. They also have Water Dog (36 Wayen Beal) for sale out front. If I hit the lottery, that boat is mine.

Great looking boat alright. Any experience with running gas engines in the salt?
