Anyone Fishing East of Chatham this weekend?

Probably heading out with a buddy in a bigger boat on Saturday. He is pretty well plugged in. May try to drown some bluefish if we can find some smaller ones.

I haven't heard much chatter about tuna off Chatham lately. The fish were very close lipped and would only surface for 5-10 seconds at a time whe I went last week. No love.

    Any intel would be appreciated.

Ed, we run a 31 Contender out of Ryders and the tuna fishing has been slow the last week. We covered 115 miles last weekend in the fog and the fish were parked 2.5 miles east of the new cut. They were up and down quickly and mixed with bass and large blues and the dreaded dogfish. My dad had a great day last Friday in the deep water east and north of Chatham, but those fish seemed to have moved on. I would try offshore first, but there are a few schools of BFTs mixed with the whales in 75 - 80 feet of water just east of the new cut, but the commercial bass fleet is there too. Good luck.
