Anyone Been Out?

Looking to head out Tuesday for some BFT. Anyone had a chance to fish East or off PTown? Any reports?

I went out Thurs for a few hours before getting blown off, wood end,rp, phb. Only saw a cpl fish splash. Ptown harbor has macs.

Monday was able to get out mid day till dark. Found a bunch of dirty water along the western shoreline out 6 miles, then it cleared. Plenty of wolf packs of 50-60 inch fish busting up on macks on the western edge of the bank. Tons of bait on the SEC but no signs of fish. Tuesday had a bunch of little fish up near the NWC till it blew up out of the east mid morning, stayed a bit too long and I had to limp home in the building seas. Did see several fish caught and had one on ourselves but lost it. Thursday got out for a few hours in the lower bay, marked a TON of fish but couldn't get them to bite.

There are still fish out there, how many is another story. The huge tides had them turned off last Monday before the big storm from the moons, now that the tides are more civilized and the water less churned up, we will see if there are enough left around to target. Decent window the next 3 days....

I beat it up downthere pretty good today along with a half dozen other boats. Lots of Dolphin and birds but very little bait and no Tuna. I don't know of anyone out there who saw any.

I heard there were some seen off Nauset small ones.

Cod fishing was slow to start but we ended up with a few steakers and a Haddock.

Found small fish jumping @ fishing ledge Sunday morning but they were just flipping me the fin and moving on. Moved up into the shipping lanes but just too rough to do much. Marked some bait but no takers. Left early and will try again tomorrow.
