    Another fuel related informal poll...

    For the CCB/bank guys:

Put a dollar amount on the fuel you think you spend in one trip to cross the bay hit the bank, do your thing and get back home.

Include boat size, motor, port or marina, and more or less your activities while out there.

Maybe this will make us feel a little better when we see how bad we're all getting F#!&ed

I am averaging using between 30-40 gallons a trip. (leaving from Scituate or Green Harbor and fishing the SWC and SEC's)
Thats between $100-$140 at the pump.
Alot better than my old boat. Average trip cost was $300!

I also used about a quart of Etec oil. I'll Figure on $150+ a trip weather depending

Run and gun casting mostly with some jig or even a troll now and then
Most tuna days are close to 100 miles for me, unless we find life close by
Burn about 10-11gph and close to 2.5mpg when running 4000 rpm which is about 25-28 mph
    Taint cheap...pick your days wisely

This thread was a good idea, not feeling quite so bad now especially if footing the fuel myself.

26' pilothouse w/ 300 Suzuki 4 stroke, steaming out of plymouth to SE corner and golf balls, 4400 avg. 23 kts, trolling most the time. 42 gal.

Average 120 miles average without trolling
    60 - 70 gallons gas plus 1 gallon oil.
Last trip on Sunday from braintree to sec to swc and some running around the bill was $300.
Looks like I need to get closer to the bank.
