    Anchor or Drift

When we fish live bait, we usually drift Macks however I have seen many guys @ anchor, how does it change your presentation ? What are the pros & cons ? Seems like drifting allows you to cover more water. Any suggestions.

if you know a good spot, anchoring is the way to go. The fish are always moving so covering alot of ground, may or may not be the way to go, I've got em both way's, it's personal preference. it is nice to be in one spot, and not worry about how/where your drifting. 300ft of line is the norm i've seen, and a windlass isn't needed, just use the ball and ring, steam along and let the ball do the work. It's called a norwegian lift --> http://www.fishing-catalog.com/other...nchor_ball.htm
