I fish out of Weymouth Mass. I once set my chart plotter for home and it said 74 miles. Lets just say it was a long trip home.O ya Im in a 22.5 center console.

We used to keep our boat at Wessagusset Yacht Club in Weymouth We got caught in a bad NW blow up on Peaked Hill. I think it was 30 miles home in a 22 center console. It SUCKED

Fuel must be an issue too, what engines & tanks do you have.

my fuel is 108 gall and i have an 06 200hp evinrude e-tec.i was caught in some tight 3>5 footers and it took almost 6 hours to get in real long rough ride.i now try to keep them in the 1>2 foot range. needless to say i am learning to read the weather much better now.

I took my 23' Mako out to the 'tales..........once. South of fifty fathoms several times. In August. FLAT calm. If'n the weather's good enough 23' is plenty. If you get caught in the shit, you'll wish you had never been born.
Choose your days real carefully, and you will have no problem. See you out there!!

the first time i went out was to the little tails in august we lay-ed up for the night bite and in the am trolled south looking for the life.it was like a lake out there i have been hooked ever since.and i still haven't put a tuna on the deck
