Second week in a row I looked for Albies. No kidding drove a long way.......should have went tuna fishing. Left Fairhaven, headed to Quick's Hole, then Ran down the vineyard sound side of Naushon. Saw a few minor breaks past Tarpoulin(sp?). Went from there to Tashmoo, then vineyard haven, then oaks bluff, then hedge fence, then Waquoit falmouth, then up that coast to EEl River, Green harbor, falmouth harbor, through woods hole, then back to quicks. Saw a nice blitz in Quicks hole but that was it. I figure this was 70 plus miles. Lucky we had the opportunity to do a great cruise in great waters on a great but chilly day.
Did anyone find the funny fish? Don't need to know where just want to be irritated that they are still around and I missed them. Also saw birds picking small bait or krill or something off the water, fish finder showed fish under them just off the bottom. Maybe scup or schools of small fish ? Not sure maybe even sea bass.
I should have gone to cape cod bay, or SWC, or >>>> and tried for Charlie. Just not fully set up for the Bigger class of fish up there. I have all the rigs for south, working on making the rigs for the north. Next year, I will be ready
