    From the air today...

Saw a shitload of small tunas from 140-200 lbs from the PH down to Chatham and east to the Crab Ledge today. Also saw and heard (on the vhf) some classic "jump-fucks". Pretty funny, epsecially given the sheer volume of bunches of fish that were popping up every 10 minutes at most...

where was the Humpback hang out? I have a whale watch trip planned for this weekend and would not want to waste time trolling for tuna *unless* I just happened to be in the midst of a killer whale show to keep the boatful of 23 year old girls entertained while I entertain myself

Awww maaaaaannn, the word picture of you "entertaining yerself" with a boatload of 23 yr old girls is making me wanna hurl! As to whales, they were everywhere! I saw them as close in as a mile off the golf balls to Highland Light, then all the way south of the Crab Ledge. More to the north of Nauset than south. Many pairs, a ton of solos and a few large pods feeding right after slack. You should have no problem finding them. Let me know when yer thinking of going out and if I'm flying we'll get you on them...

Thanks Mark - one's my daughter so clean up those thoughts.

I'm hoping to go Sat if in fact the current NOAA forecast of 5-10 outweighs the wind maps of 10-15 I am looking at.

Thanks Mark. I'm heading out on my boss's friends 37' Duffy, the Hooked On tomorow. Seems like PHB will be a good place to start.
