I'm the worst kind of JFer. I jump out of bed way too early, spend tons of money and time tuna fishing (away from other boats), only to go home empty handed (F'ed).

Anyone know what time the East tides are coming out of the canal into CCB for tomorrow? I don't have an eldridge handy.

Larry - are you going out and around Monomoy? I'm coming thru the ditch, and aiming for the race. See what's out & around P-town with the kids, assuming the 5-10 NNE stays accurate, and doesn't end up 10-15...

Ha! Now I know exactly what you were talking about! This JFing you heard didn't happen to be broadcast over channel 10, did it?

Apparently things off chatham can get pretty nasty when the fish aren't taking trolled baits.

First, you have the radio jump-fuck. Ppl hear a couple of guys fishing an area and they manage to broadcast a rough location. The JF'er zeros in and strikes. The second JF is exactly what you describe. The JF'er sees guys hooked up and BAM, comes on in, scopes things out and stakes the claim. The worst and what I call the CLASSIC Cape Cod Jump Fuck is both rare and bombastic; amazingly brazen in its arrogance. The JF'er obtains its info under direct observation (as in JF 2) or radio fishing (as in JF 1). The JF'er then steams into the area, pulling up short and either deploying it's trolling gear or simply "scoping out" the area, all the while ignoring the jump fuckees. When the JF'ers observe fish up they will, depending on tactics being used at the time, either troll towards of run and gun at said fish. NOW, the CLASSIC part of this is that, when the JF'er is either confronted or thwarted in his attempt to JF the JF'ees, AND, more deliciously, the JF'ees hook up, the JF'er will loudly and ridiculously announce his stunned amazmement at this turn of events, claiming ownership of the fish that he JF'ed! THAT, my friends, is the CLASSIC Cape Cod Jump Fuck. I saw many of #'s 1 and 2, but only one example of #3 yesterday and it was TEXTBOOK in all components!!!
