    80's For Sale.

Well being that I'm not going to join the General Catogory this season and as Rec. I can't keep any Bluefin over 59" long I guess I may aswell try and sell the following items:

2 Brand New Shimano Tiagra 80W's Spooled with 200# momoi braid and 130 momoi topshots paired with 6' CMS bent butt Stellwagon Specials. I've got well over $1450 invested in each of these. For Sale $1250 each.

Next is a brand new Alutecnos 80 2 speed spooled with 200# momoi braid and 130 momoi topshot. No rod with this one. I got over $1150 invested in this one. I got to get $950.

These have never seen salt. All were bought new this past winter.
Pictures can be provided but these are spotless. I might also be willing to accept trades for 30W's and 50W's.

    Thanks Dan Stewart.

Why the 80's if you're going to stick angling? 50's are overkill on 60-65" fish. And they match up perfect with 65-80" fish.

Next year the large school/small medium category will be 33mt again. If we want to call small medium 70" fish 200lbs that's 10 fish per ton. 330 fish to fill the quota. Depending on how good the fishing is that's June at best.

That's why they closed the 59-73" fishery. Because they weigh so much vs a 55" fish that tips the scales at 80lbs.

These are the numbers they work off and the things they think about. Just saying. Hope it works out for you and all of us.

Basically we need more quota. Fish are coming back and the U.S. fishermen have sacrificed to get it there.

    Dan,

I had similar gut reaction but refuse to sell gear even if it is used as paperweight and memories in the future. Just not buying any more.........

I'm as frustrated as anyone but you can catch & release. After all it is sport fishing.

I mostly do just that. I keep maybe 2-3 fish a year but the clients I take out like one to chew on every now and again.........
