The 1st Hammerhead at the boat before I cut it off. This was on 150# mono and either an 8 or 10/0 Owner Super Mutu circle hook. I need more lights at night!
4:30 AM, the school of 1" bait around the campfire er hydroglow. What you cannot see is grey skipjack and dark yellowfin out in the shadow zone picking off each stray bait that leaves the safety of the fire.
Next morning - trolling up to a visible school of skipjack on the surface; passing down the side of the school and flipping back to watch for and catch a strike first on right short; then on left short by 40-50 pound yellowfin.
Finally - making a pass by a school of skipjack - watch right short - it gets hit 8 or 10 times by skipjack before finally getting taken down by a 25# yellow.
Very cool LB. Love those shots of the yellows from up top. I think we can put a rubber band around around the screen to remedy the "opening up" problem on the camera. That way the screen will stay flush to the rest of the camera under water while under way...
Good job on a really cool bite. The night can really drag out when nothing is happening or it can fly by.... Seems like you had "easy" night duty with tons of really cool things to keep you occupied.
Glad you were able to limp back in and it was an easy fix for MacD's.
LB with a video camera???? I don't have any idea what to expect next!!! Can I Twitter you now?
