Nice read as always. Glad the weather played in your favor for a safe ride home. Curious, on the trip home any signs of noteworthy life? Recall last time you had indicated the waters were rather void and bleak.

That is a great picture - I have video on my laptop which I can't upload till I get home tomorrow. Got the same strike from above as well as an absolutely hilarious video of perhaps 8-10 skipjack trying to eat an 11" bar unsuccessfully; eventually a small yellow gets it.

I also have video from which I might be able to extract the hammerhead and the mystery fin which is either a white marlin or a shark.

On the engine front the part is on order; no one is terribly worried about a 1 minute overheat. We're doing the other engine proactively at the same time. If the part arrives on time I'm heading back on Friday.

    Takers ?

    Larry,
Glad you made it back OK. Nice talking to you. We left for home at around 6:00am as are fish holds were full. We boated a 220 bigeye at first light. East atlantis was also a great place to be yesterday.

That there is the reason for my addiction. Simply awesome! Nothing on earth is more exciting to me than a monster hit like that on a spreader bar. Nice work boyz!

LB, glad to hear you guys made it back to the dock safe. Common problem with those pulleys or no?

Hope you get it fixed soon, sounds like the bite is on out there.

One of the best posts I've read this year--in longer than that, actually. Thanks for letting me tag along, Larry. That was a helluva' good read. That said, you suck. A fistful of gas money this report's going to cost. Guaranteed.

    Cheers,

    L

All in all; problems not withstanding; it was a great trip, canyon trips are never just about fishing; its the total experience that sets them apart from a day trip and this was a pretty good set of experiences to enjoy as well as learn from.[/QUOTE]

Well said, glad you boys had a great trip and made it back in one piece.

Hi Larry. Good to see you Sat AM. I was in the green regulator. I'm leaving Falmouth either Thurs PM or early Fri and heading to HYDRO/Veatch and coming back SAT. You going?
