Just finished 4 days of off shore fishing. 2 were cod trips, 2 were tuna. We got Cod on the cod trips and tuna on the tuna trips! Today I fished with my dad though. With a lack of bait in the morning, we headed out anyways. Got to a spot that had some fish on top untill some moron ran them right over. Dom called us on the radio and told us he could give us 6 pogies, and that where he was looks good. We found him and it sure did look good. When we got to him there were fish busting on top. It stayed like this for several hours. We got one on a pogie and my dad fought it. Had it to the boat in 20 mins and i threw the harpoon...perfect throw! Set up again and had some fish on the baits but none got the hook. Eventually we were hooked up again, and I shit you not, we had the fish to the boat in 3 minutes and released. Fought it out of the gunwale on a short bent butt 50 wide. Good day over all, couple fish, and good times out there with everyone. Thanks again Dom for the pogies and intel!
