They were forcasting this weather for awhile and the prediction was real close. The hotspots had been black but the IMCS showed a temperature break right at the claw. After a pit stop at noman's for some scup it was off to the claw. Lines in with temps just under 69. No signs of life except for some little birds that Augie always says are good luck. Just as the water temp goes over 69 the short feather in the bubbles goes off. After a short fight a green 40# tuna is on the gaff. I sure need more practice. We're on our way to the fingers figuring there has to be more out that way. 15 minutes later twenty yards to port is a White Marlin, spike out of the water just cruising and the spread has got to get his attention. Hey, this is 69-70 degree water there are going to be more chances. Get to the fingers and a mako is close enough to throw scup at, so I do. We got a Mako just a couple of weeks ago in the same place. No cable, no mako, no steaks. Heading in we saw a turtle and the seas were comfortable til we hit Buzzards Bay. My back is aching, another awesome day provided by nature!
