Beautiful work there Dom. Did you mark the fish or just set up in a spot that looked good. I am new to the jigging game and got all the rods, reels and jigs but have not really tried it out much. I'm taking a few friends out for a Bachelor party this weekend and the troll bite has sucked for me the past two weeks so it may be time to get jiggy.

Thanks for the props guys....it sure was a demanding 3 hours at the helm, that fish was under the boat for 2 plus hours! I think I was just as tired as the angler...nah

Dan,

I marked several single fish that appeared to be nice size, among some bait and whales. The guys had to work through numerous foul hooked doggies, but it payed off with that fish. The marks were at 75 feet in 177 feet of water, with the dogfish band just below them. Color coded line is a must for getting the jigs in the strike zone. With my new Garmin machine, I can see the line and jigs drop down as well, so I can tell the guys to adjust accordingly. Proper drag, good knots, and extreme patience on the anglers part was what made the difference in the extended fight.
