so would there be any fish there? would it be crazy to do a canyon trip to that water right now?

If I had a 42 Yellowfin might be worth the ride
I'm in for gas.
3.5 hours running 35 through 50 degree water, even in a 42' Yellowfin, that is going to be a cold ride. Good thing I have a nice warm down jacket. I am in for gas as well.
There will be bluefin. I'll go third week in May if the weather is there. Yellows are pretty think off NC right now. I would guess its only a matter of time until they make it up there, if they aren't already.
Now thats a temp break I would be willing to bet there are a lot of fish in that water just waiting to hit the decks.I need that water to move north another 20 miles
I have been told by a longliner all of those eddys up the east coast are full of YF and many many Sharks. It is not worth it for him to set.
I am thinking BFT and sharks and sharks and sharks.
i'm itching to go! my boat should be leaving the factory this friday, hopefully up here by mid next week. i don't think i have the guts to make the long run on a boat that's brand new to me though. too many unknowns i guess.
i know for a fact there are tuna there, a merchant marine friend passed by there and emailed me saying that he saw them everywhere and this was about 2 weeks ago.
