7-6-09 spinning gear

Got one today on the spinning gear. Headed out late with matt and was on fish the minute we got out to the time we left. Found fish with Capt. Dom crashing bait, but they were to spotty. Ended up running south and finding thousands of fish. First cast we double up. Matt breaks his off with 50 yards of line left on his stella and I manage to keep mine on for an hour. Passed the rod 6 times before matt made the deathly hail mary shot with the harpoon. 66'' fish in the boat! After that we took the hooks of the poppers and watched as fish after fish smashed the poppers. Fun day, even saw a couple giants on top.

He hasn't posted in a few days. I'm guessing epic popping action going on. I almost tried his cell today because I was jones'ing for a report.

I am dying a slow death with these reports as I was going to trailer up last minute but had to pull the plug at the last minute due to obligations later in the week. I knew I should have said screw it!

Maybe, but "The Flame" is the coolest looking popper on the market

I whipped one into to some sick piles of bft and zippo. But I'll get one, you watch. Then I'm going to throw it in the trash.
