4:00am....Rt6 exit 9....tire explodes...shit. find a spare and limp to ryders cove and clear the inlet at 6. Find some life but decided to keep going. 550 FOW we found some tuna crashing on bait. Get the spread out and swing the bars into the fish. Fish on! 10 minutes later my dad throughs the harpoon at a 60'' fish. After that the tuna never came up till we had to leave. Decided to head home. Wind picked up, made for a shitty ride in. About 2 miles from the inlet we spin the prop...made for 5 or so miles at 7 MPH. Get the boat on the trailer, and again on Rt6 the tire blows out. Managed to find another spare and get going to be at the house at 630pm. Report may sound lame, but I am wiped out!

thats a truly unlucky day for the tires but sounds like you guys won the luck battle nice fish
hey did the rubber bushing inside the prop just get worn down so when you got the engine up to speed it was slipping?
we had a similar experience on Friday. Fog, lumpy seas, and a motor that didn't want to start after we got to our numbers. Spent an hour getting her running again and then never shutting her down again after that. Just a bust of a trip. Got the motor issue all figured out and fixed (Battery Cable) and the trailer lights fixed AGAIN! Gotta love boating.
Good job on making the best of a bad trip. I blew out 2 sets of bearings on one trip at the begining of the season. Jeff I think I need to paint my boat.
