Just an observation and experience with my own trailer. They are just not made to go in the water.

hey did the rubber bushing inside the prop just get worn down so when you got the engine up to speed it was slipping?

Exactly, Cam. We are hoping to get a cheap aluminum prop while this one gets fixed.

yea that sounds like a good plan cus those bushings are pritty easy to fix when the prop is that size but trust me i got abot half way replacing it on a 20hp evinrude and i just said screw it and got a new prop for it and it only turned out to be like 10 bucks difference but once the props get up to your size they become real big $$$$ just make sure when you get the prop back that when your running that you didnt gain or loose rpms becuse they could have dinged it or whacked agaisnt something in the replacement

Nice job Jeff!

Hotreels, saw you heading out yesterday at 6am. I was the 21' cc that exited the chatham cut the same time. I went east, you went southeast. I never saw any breaking tuna, but tons of whales and birds, marked a lot of fish, but no takers but a couple big stripers. sorrry to hear about your trailer problems. that sucks. a nice tuna like that can sure rescue a day. great job.

Sorry to hear about your trailer issues. The reason we never hooked up with you guys last weekend was we had a small fire in one of our hubs.Got it out before the boat got hot,and got really lucky where it happened.About $500 later,it's all good.Nice way to make the best of a shitty day.

Get the spread out and swing the bars into the fish. Fish on! 10 minutes later my dad throughs the harpoon at a 60'' fish. After that the tuna never came up till we had to leave. Decided to head home. Wind picked up, made for a shitty ride in. About 2 miles from the inlet we spin the prop...made for 5 or so miles at 7 MPH. Get the boat on the trailer, and again on Rt6 the tire blows out. Managed to find another spare and get going to be at the house at 630pm. Report may sound lame, but I am wiped out!

I love it when a plan comes together How come you are not rolling around in the Blood??? you know the drill??? Nice clean deck " just sprinkle a little water around and get me a cup of coffee"
