    2 for 2 BFT on 7/31

Got two small ones on spinning gear. 48 in boated and kept. ~50 in released boat side. One on a ronz silver tail, 2nd on Ocean Lure fast swimmer.

Thanks to Alloytoy for the call in to where fish were at.

We heard you guys on the radio on Sat. You sounded very close to our location around the claw. Congrats on 2 fish. We found them very scattered out, and very picky. They were never up long enough to cast to, so we trolled plastics. Plenty of half-beaks around being chased by the Tuna, as well as bluefish and Bonito. A friend fishing nearby tried ballyho, but the bluefish got to them before the Tuna could. We managed one 48"fish, just dumb luck that our spread was running through a bunch of halfbeaks at the moment the Tuna attacked. We were watching the bait hitting our lines when the fish hit the short flatline.
Were you casting to breaking fish? or just blind casting near where you'd seen fish? A few guys got single fish; a lot got nothing; somehow what you were doing got you the double. Nice Job.

    Thanks,for the congrats.

You sure I was close? I could hear guys on the radio out in the canyons

We were trolling bally and birds/green machines but it was real weedy. Had to check every 5 mins and rigs were weeded so didn't bother with bars. 1st fish got on the bow while trolling and fired into a pod exploding.

2nd one went to run and gun mode with the weeds.

Bait in the stomach was a mix of smaller 3-4" digested fish which we seem to see get sprayed up and digested half beaks.
