10/13... The Beating Was Worth It

Two words... Unfucking believable.

Fished on the Elizabeth Marie out of Scituate. Hands down the biggest school of tuna I've ever seen. As far as the eye could see..40-400 lb fish. Doubled up on shankas. One snapped rod in the middle of a fight..We kept one fish, before it really blew up. Pictures later. Need a beer, shower and a shit.

With so many "400 pounders" being sighted, anyone actually hooked one to tell about it?

Or was this mystery fish that broke the rod a keepa?

standing by for details

tuna as far as the eye can see in the fourth picture... fifth one, fish busting next to the boat. Greg on the Fortuna said some were hitting the side of his boat.

rod snapped in half. One guy cranked on reel, one guy held the other half of the rod and one guy cranked down on the line like you do on a 130 with a giant.

I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man - youre killing me here.

I just love how anything can go sideways at the last minute. The only thing better than the unexpected is how a tight crew handles the mishap - and it looks like you guys manned up in a big way!!!!

Very nice job.
