Hey guys : I got slowed down by Bill this week , hopefully they reschedule that Green harbor tournament. But it's been a great august so far. Tristate did well no bigeye ,but did manage a swordie.Went back to west atlantis on the 10th water changed more fish up on the flats towards atlantis along with two whiteys and a 350blue came a knocking. on the third one went further east, alot of sub-legal yellows managed to pick 5 50+ but no slammers, marlin are the game , had two more whites and two blues landed and released the white but the blues are qquite the handful on a 50. The swordie I got was on a 50standup with the hook tied direct to 80lb for an 1 1/2 battle.

Sword weighed in at 188 an he came up in the chum slick at 2:10am I saw him thought it was a mako , then sw the sword slashing through the slick.I ran to get a live squid and Ryan( from Lupie lures went to grab a rod a tie a hook to pitch it to him. Just when I was grabbing the squid he made a circle behind the boat and went down. He grabthe live squid at 75ft and took 150yrd of top shot to the backing before I set the hook. He went down got hundg up in the gear , I cranked through the gear for about 100yds. I thought it was done bottom paint on the line , looked liked a cheese grater went up the line. I got most of it back on the reel and then it was a game of inches for a long time. The hook was a direct tie to 80lb line (Momoi Diamond) I swear by the line now ! Sinker showe dan Ryan ended the game with the flying gaff!

I did want to mention that both Lupie lures and Sea bird lures running behind GTEK bars caught most of the fish. Whiteys and blues on Carlson bling with a hoo attached!!
