Zenaq rod?????

Anyone have experience with this brand???? Price is high but is the quality worth it. Looking at a Zenaq MB-B60H.

Ordering JPR-Jm350g and 500g rods. Will the Zenaq be overkill?

Thanks
Mark

stick with the good stuff

i havent seen the Zenaq rod in person.
it does look like it has some big power.

after doing repairs on a few "imported" rods.
i can see where some "quality" issues come in play with them.

What are you going to use for ?
The rod is heavy duty for big fish or fish very deep with heavy jigs. The rod is on sale at Anglers Proshop now and you can not beat the price of $540 for such a quality rod.

I wouldn't want much more rod than 500g JM. I researched soome of the zenaq's and it seems that the heavy model doesn't bend as much as the JM.

I am an exclusive dealer of JM rods in the US and it is not appropriate to metion about JM when Zinaq rod was asked.

Thanks

Hello Kil thankyou for the info. I fish San Diego long range...... and think that under certain circumstances speed jigging for Cow Yellowfin Tuna would be a hoot. If I am lucky when the Cows show up on one of my trips. I was thinking that maybe something heavier than what JM offers, would be to my advantage.

I did mention I was picking up a couple of custom JM rods(Will call you Paul). My 8' GUSA jigging stick was really hurting me at Guadalupe Island and was thinking that there had to be a better way in getting my jig fix.

Jig42na cool name says it all.

Not a Cow but these sizes are really fun on the jig stick.

Regards
Mark

thats what i have seen in lifting demos also.
its tough to actually be able to touch all the rods/blanks.
especially with so many avail now.
the zenaq's are very stiff looking.
not like the JM which will be a little more forgiving.
the 500 is ALOT of rod.
here is a pic of the JM ..

Mark..pics of the fish are great..
talk to ya soon

Hi Mark,
nice pictures.
Wait until I come back from Panama trip next week. I plan to test my custom 500g JM rod and Accurate B2-30 reel for 400 -500 lbs marlin. If the setup can pass the test, I can recommend the setup for cow. I am going to try them for big cow myself in Hurricane Bank or lower Baja next fall.
If you want targeting cow, the Zinaq rod is good as well as any quality Japanese jigging rods rated to PE10 or unlimited.

8' GUSA Wahoo is a great jigging rod and I don't know how many tuna I got with the rod. Nowadays, I go after lighter setups as I get older.

Thanks Deep Defiance everyone should experience one of those types of trips. There are also some resident great white sharks at Guadalupe island. Very entertaining to watch swimming under and around the boat.......... that is until ytou have a nice tuna on.

Kil have a great trip. Be safe, have a fun successful adventure.......... Very interested in how your 500g performs.

Paul thanks for the kind words....... Do/would you take a existing rod, strip it and re-wrap it.

Whenever I see those load tests it reminds me of when I did one with the 8' Gusa the line snapped (bad knot) and I put the rod though my office ceiling.
