Well Tony, Mike and Howard were fortunate enough to be able to stay for the pretty weather on monday. We headed out monday morning in slick calm seas with high expectations. Hit the first spot after a 2 hour run and the fishing wasn't quite up to par. We caught a few ajs and almacos but all in all it wasn't quite what we were looking for so we made a short move and still it wasn't quite right. We made one more move and it was on. One drop one fish for the next several hours with ajs up to 60 lbs, 5 african pompanos up to 36 lbs, gag grouper, wahoo, and cobia. We all in all we had an awesome day with lots of variety. The conditions were perfect and the fish bit good. Thanks guys for more great times. Cheers!

No bite offs. (And Howard loves to change rigs at the drop of a hat!) AND, he catches (from bottom to top), a nice gag, too many AJs and Almacos to count, a big African, and the 'hoo!! Covered the entire water column and caught fish. That thing is one helluva jig. I used the pot roast (lost it), pig roast, and the green glow. All worked (take a look at the jig on my AP). The chartreuse seemed to be the color of the day, though.
