    would these make good teasers for ground fihing

    I was wondering if these would make a good teaser for ground fish fished 18" above a jig

    Nope...absolutely not...please package them up and send them to me immediately and I'll get rid of 'em for you.

    Seriously though, those look great- I especailly like the purple ones.

    They look great!! I don't know how they would work fished in that manner...but they sure look purdy!!

    thanks for the replies I tied these up the other day as I was bored with all the snow up here in maine and snowing today. I will trying these out hopefully in April of gom I cant wait as it has been a long winter. The purple one I thought would work out well for cod, the pink/white for haddock and the green for pollock

    Those should work great. If you haven't done so before, you could put a drop of clear nail polish or epoxy on the threads and they'll last forever.

    I use fly tying head cement on all my flies and it works out very well used one fly I tied last year on three trips caught a lot of haddock, cusk and dogfish on it and it is still the same at the head but the body is well beat up

    Gotcha- good (I wasn't sure if you had done it before so I was just throwing it out there in case you hadn't).

    BTW, I hope that you carefully returned all of those endangered dogfish back in the water after you caught them
