    Windon Leaders

I've mentioned a few times on here that my personal preference for the mono/braid connection is a windon leader.

I have been making my own and selling a few to friends, but now I have something better. I discovered these windons made in Australia that are so streamlined, I believe you could even use them popping, as well as jigging. They make both Jinkai mono and also Flourocarbon for tunas.

I got a shipment in and have added them to my site.

At some point I gotta try those wind-ons. Been using the PR without any issues, so strength is not my biggest concern. I'm attracted to the flexibility of being able to swap out leaders fairly easily. Of course, have to learn to tie a bimini first! Never took the time to learn.

Also, is there something about these Australian wind-ons that, in your view, make them better than those you can get here in the US?

    Tony,
The serving on them is extremely small and perfect. The are also made with a small loop, which I like. I can't make them as nice as these are.

Those look nice. When I need to replace the ones I have, I'll give you a call.

I bought some from Australia that look like what you got. They are very very well made. I was so impressed I bought some more. Good to see a local supplier. Thanks.

I hate knots ... but i also hate bulky windons ESPECIALLY with a spinner. I just wont use them on a spinner but yours look low profile compared to many on the market. looks like a winner

The one I photo'd above is the flouro, because it showed the serve better. The mono are even more streamlined than the flouro. It takes a little to impress me with this stuff and when I saw them, I said wow, cool.

I've heard this before, but what exactly makes them bulky? The serves I've seen (here and Basil's) look nice and slim. Is it the loop to loop itself or is it the bimini in the braid or something else?
